Fresh Air Sculpture is a biennial sculpture exhibition held at the home of Lucy Abel Smith, a former President of our Society.  The exhibition will feature the work of over 100 artists working in a variety of materials including glass, steel, ceramics, stone, wood, recycled materials and textiles, Alongside the outdoor sculpture, Colours of the Garden will be showing in the Pool House Gallery. Working with British makers, this carefully chosen collection of pieces aims to show examples of the craft discipline of jewellery, ceramics, wire work, mosaic, wood, willow, glass and metalwork.

This is a self-drive visit to Quenington where there is parking in the grounds. Our visit will start promptly with coffee/tea at 10.30am followed by an introduction at 11.00am by Lucy Abel Smith or one of the curators of the exhibition. There will then be free time to explore the exhibitions and lovely gardens at your leisure; cakes and light lunches are available at the Gilbertine Kitchen refreshments tent. You can stay as long as you wish; closing time is 5.00pm.

Price: £10 to include a discounted entry ticket, introductory talk and coffee/tea.

Open to members and non-members.

PLASTER WORKSHOPS at FRESH AIR SCULTURE 2024

29th - 30th June 2024 - Through the King's Foundation charity, adult and children's plaster workshops are being offered.  Run by Esme Walker, lime plaster and pargetter, you can create your own ceiling rose or parget worthy of a stately home! For full details and to book direct click HERE.

It is advisable that you complete and bring with you an “In Case of Emergency” (ICE) form on the day.  The ICE form can be downloaded by clicking on the button below. The form is a note of your essential medical details in the unfortunate event of an accident, or illness during the visit, when it would be passed to paramedics.  It is not read by any of our Society.
