The Wallace Collection is a magnificent national museum located in Hertford House, Manchester Square, in the heart of London. It features an exceptional array of masterpieces spanning painting, sculpture, furniture, arms and armour, and porcelain. The collection was assembled during the 18th and 19th centuries by the Marquesses of Hertford and Sir Richard Wallace, and was generously bequeathed to the British nation by Lady Wallace in 1897.
Part of the visit will include an opportunity to see the special Caravaggio's Cupid exhibition. Details from The Wallace Collection website can be found HERE.
We plan to arrive at 10:30 am. for coffee, tea, and cookies, followed by guided highlights tours at 11:30 am. The tours will last approximately one hour and can accommodate up to 40 people, divided into two groups. Participants who do not join a guided tour are welcome to enjoy a self-guided visit around the museum.
After exploring the Wallace Collection, there will be plenty of time for lunch at one of the many nearby eateries and to enjoy the attractions of central London. We plan to depart London at 4:00 pm.
This Visit is complemented by our evening lecture Caravaggio – Darkness and Light with Nick Nelson on Saturday 14th March 2026 (6.30 – 9.00pm). Full details can be found HERE.
